    Dell E151FPB Monitor Flickering Display

I have a Dell E151FPB Monitor that is flickering. Has anyone fixed one of these?
    I re-soldered L781 and replaced 2N7000 FET.

Sounds like you need a new monitor. A 15 inch LCD you can find used for almost as little as it would cost to fix this one. Good luck and have fun!

???? E151FPB is a flat panel monitor. ??? Not a CRT in sight.

If the display is flickering, that's usually a sign there is something wrong with the CCFL's. If you put your ear to the top of the monitor you'll probably hear a sizzling or crackling sound. The tube(s) are probably shorting out.

If you can hear the sizzling noise, you'll have to dismantle the monitor right down to the tubes. Check for heavy black marks at the end of the tube, if you have any discoloration at all in the tube.. it's bad.. you'll have to replace it.
