    Dell P2419H - Flashing on/off

This monitor was thrown out by the IT department today, when plugged in, the backlight just flashes on/off/on/off/etc., maybe 3 flashes on every 2 seconds. Plugging in a VGA cable makes no difference.

I haven't opened it up yet, but just wondering if this issue has cropped up on Dell monitors of similar vintage (manufacture date of June 2020). Surprised to find one so new out already.

No idea if this is a known issue or not, but more than likely, you will have to open the monitor to check it out further... and maybe post a picture while you're at it too.

My first suggestion is to check if the power supply voltages (particularly the standby supply, if one) is stable or if it "resets" with the frequency of the backlights flashing. That might help us rule out if it's a PSU issue or a backlight/inverter issue.

Dell G3 15 3500 - Battery bug (black screen and flashing keyboard backlight)
      by HTR-Informatique
      Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

Dell G3 17 3779 Weird power cycling and shutdown/restart issue
      by SuperJames
This one's a weird one, and still unsolved despite it having gone back to Dell once.

      Specs

i7-8750H, GTX 1060 Max Q, 500GB SSD & Seagate 7mm 1TB HDD. 17.3 IPS screen. This has the fingerprint reader in the power button.

      Backstory

I bought this from eBay, from a wallpapering shop. £650 in 2020 which was a good price considering it's a gaming laptop. Physically it's in perfect shape, apart from the hinge mounts on the palmrest failing in the time I've had it (I have a new palmrest for it). The usual thin plastic crap modern build quality!...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
      by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Latitude 3510 Overheating & Fan Control Issue – Need Help
      by Ven
Dell Latitude 3510 (Intel Core i7-10510U) CPU Overheating

      Issue Description:
      1. CPU Overheating to 100°C
        • When I start the laptop from a cold state, it takes about a minute to reach temps around 80-90-100°C, and CPU thermal throttling triggers.
        • When the CPU fan is running at full speed (by disconnecting PWM and TACH cables), CPU temperature stays around 50-60°C.
        • However, when the fan is connected normally to the motherboard, it does not kick in at high temperatures.
        • I also noticed a few times that the fan kicked in for a very short time, but it does not stay on consistently.

Dell G15 5515 RGB Keyboard Not Detected (Compatible Keyboard, Possible BIOS/EC Issue?)
      by NotEnough
      Hi everyone,

I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”

      What I've Tried So Far:
      • Reseated the cables.
      • Reinstalled AWCC and AlienFX services.
      • Attempted BIOS downgrade but no improvement.
      • Inspected ribbon cables for damage.
      • Explored the possibility of BIOS or
