Yeah either of those will work. The CapXon has a rated ripple current capacity of 1040mA, according to the datasheet. According to the NCC datasheet for the ones you ordered, the 8mm ones have 1050mA ripple current capacity, and the 10mm ones can handle 1210mA. So, that being said, if the 10mm ones will fit, it would be preferable to use them, but the 8mm ones would be fine too. The general consensus around here I believe is that CapXons are overrated to begin with, so either will work just fine. If you see any other CapXon that you can replace, do it, chances are they aren't far off. I fixed a Dell LCD monitor and there were 3 CapXon vented through the top, and 4 or 5 vented through the bottom.

    Good luck!

Do they match the uF and voltage ratings of the old caps? You should also replace any other CrapXon caps that are in there, even if they don't show signs of failure now they will soon.

EDIT: Looks like I was a little late

Should I try replace these, then make sure it works first. then order the others? there are more of the same brand on the board but was not pop or anything. I no like spend too much money and it not work. This is for my company thats why. I had a user call me saying it doesnt work so I swapper her out. When I went to her desk, the green light was blinking, but i could not get no display (not even the menu button worked). Now it doesnt even power on.

        thanks again

Well replace the blown ones first, and any other 1000uF/10v ones you see that you can replace, and then make sure it works. Then if I were you I'd go ahead and replace all the other CapXon, otherwise you'll just be seeing it again to replace them in not too long

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

Issues Reviving Old Dell 2408WFPb Monitor
                by Jesus Coder
                Hello everyone,

I have been having some difficulties reviving an old Dell 2408WFPb PC monitor that I received for free. When I first acquired it, the backlights of the display were on but alas no image was showing. After extensive research on the topic, I went ahead and purchased a new t-con board for the monitor. After installing the board, I was then presented with a new screen that was half black and half green (more so black). I have been unable to figure out what to do next as I have limited knowledge of display electronics. Might anyone on this forum have an idea of what may...

Dell 34 inch U3419W Monitor with thin stripes on partial screen
                by ChristianBr01
                Hello everyone,
I have a Dell U3419W Monitor that has some thin stripes on a part of the screen since Tuesday.
This lines cover about a third of the screen and appear for 2 seconds before disappear for another 2 seconds.
This repeats the whole time. I have not opened the case yet cause I had no time, but will try to fix it on this weekend. For me, it looks like a problem on the TCon... Am I right?
Does someone have seen this before?...

                HP adapter for Dell monitor
                by paparazzo79
                Hi guys.
I got myself used Dell 27" touch monitor but I got scammed again, seller sent HP adapter.
Though voltages are the same, I suppose power supply design is not the same.
So may I use it without any harm to the monitor?...
