Acer AL2416W lcd monitor thick black line down side of screen

Hi I need some help or advice on an Acer AL2416W lcd monitor the caps have all been replaced on the inverter board and it now works but it now has a 1 inch line down the side of the screen somwtimes it's solid black and sometimes it's all scrambled and when the monitor gets warm it sort of gets transparent and you just make out the icons and clock in the corner. the line is present as soon as the monitor comes on and if you tap the side of the screen it flickers and changes from solid black to like a scrambled mess. Has anyone come across this before and does anyone have any ideas or thoughts what it could be ? many thanks Davey

    2 possibilities:

    1) You damaged the tab bonds on that side of the screen when you pried apart the case. This type of damage is not repairable.

    2) The contacts of flat ribbon cable that's connected from the mainboard to the lcd panel may need to be cleaned and reseated. It can cleaned using rubbing alcohol.

Tab bonds are intact and i've cleaned the ribbon cable even though they haven't been apart after i soldered the new caps on the inverter board only the back plastics and metal shield was removed to get into it not stripped right down. So i don't know where the fault could lie now other than the mosfets or the logic board but upon inspection the caps look fine everywhere else none bulging and no leaking electrolytes anywhere.
