    Glad to hear the monitor is fixed. Did you check the voltage at the new U801 output? Also make sure it's not overheating. (maybe another component caused the old U801 death, if everything is alright now it may have died on its own)

    Not sure about the transformer noise. I remember a couple ATX PSU with a high frequency noise (near 10kHz probably) caused by bad filter caps on the secondary. Since you already recapped the power supply, this is probably not the issue.

      Thanks for the follow U801 output is as follows...

      Code:
      U801
      Pin 1 - 0V
      Pin 2 - 3.26v
      Pin 3 - 5.04v
      Was on standby for 2 minutes while I was measuring and no sign of heat, not even warm.

      What testing should I do for the heat while I wait for a replacement radial fuse?

        Well should be ok, it was just a quick check to see if it wasn't overloaded.
