Dell 2007FPB Component ID Help please!

Hi All, I need help identifying a replacement for D1 (same as D2 through D5) on the Dell 2007FPB board please? The board ID is an LG Philips LM201W01-SLC1-F11. Thank you for any help! It popped under power while troubleshooting, oops!

This is a protective diode assembly, try without it, the main thing is to check if the track is damaged.

Thank you lotas! I have fixed the trace to continue the troubleshooting. I have flashing power LED, 1 and 4 on the bezel with no output. Appreciate your help on finding that component. How did you identify from the markings what it was? Or is that just experience? thanks again!

following this thread and testing components, I have 45-56 volts AC where i should have DC volts? Not sure what happened? I removed to test this component and I'm not sure if it's supposed to ground to the heatsink? https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...blinking/page2

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
            by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
            by Akhlz001
            Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

            Dell 2007FPB compatible boards
            by ckom26
            Hello, folks.
Please, forgive this dumb question but I own a 2007FPb whose logic board is FUBAR (really). Obtaining a replacement is not easy any more (or unreasonably expensive) so I was wondering if replacing the logic board with one from the same line (e.g. 1708FP or 1907FP) would bring it back to life. Are the resolution capabilities for each one "hardcoded" into the main GENESIS chip or auto-sensed and applied? Has anyone tried something similar?

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
            by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...

Dell thunderbolt firmware, extracted from dell firmware update exe. Padded to 1MB.

Some models have a choice of 2 different firmwares, it depends on the dell SKU.
The SKU is in brackets (****)
