    TCON compatibality BN41-00877A 943NW with 2043NWX board BN91-01890T

    Hello all,
Would like to know if the TCON board BN41-00877A 943NW is compatible with BN91-01890T.
If so I will replace my existing BN91-01890T board with BN41-00877A.
    My monitor is Samsung 2043NWX.

That is not T-CON board, that is the main/logic board which output must match the Integrated T-CON board on the LCD panel assembly. The other outputs also has to match the pinout that go to the power supply/inverter board.
The PCBA on the back of the LCD panel is the integrated T-CON board into the LCD panel assembly.
    See example here:

Ok, thanks for letting me know that this is main/logic board and not TCON.

Looking at these two boards I see no difference in component. Probably firmware may be different.

I have at present the BN91-01890T board other board I have to order and get.

Has any one used these two interchangeably? what is the cause for the problem in my monitor is that due to Logic board or TCON ( long panel back of LCD)?

why not swap that logic board outright, chances are it should work as long as you have the right size of the screen panel from which you took the logic board. as far as I know, it is programmed to fit the size, so if it's wide then the screen where did you took the logic board should be wide too..

just check the pinouts on the left connector has the same pin output too..

my guess the cause was the logic chip on that board that failed to process the analog signal properly.

I do realized. I got the same logic board as the threadstarter and the display seems to be dead (because it has no standby led at the front) but the voltages inside is stable and complete. The problem lies within the main logic controller chip that was unable to execute the program coming from the eeprom chip.

I just answered his open question regardless of how old he posted this.

My apology if I broke a rule.

              Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
              by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
