I really can't tell a lot from the pictures that are in this thread.
If you are noticing a brief flashing of the back lights along with flashing of the power LED.You might want to make sure there are no transistors shorted. Check anything with a Q designation for a shorted condition.

Hi guys, I am happy owner of HP 1502 too :-) I've recapped it by Samxon GT series except C201 and C933. After recapping everything works well but after ~10 hours of use backlight stops working. At first I've powered off the monitor for 30 minutes and after that backlight works for a while. But since then the backlight does not work anymore. Have anybody the same problem? I have no experience with high voltage things. I think the problem is on power board, not in CCFL.

Re: HP 1502 (P9617D) pulsing on and off with bad capacitors

In preparation for the shooting of power board I touched the C201 and the backlight started to work. So I changed the capacitor and the backlight still works. Nothing on board (incl. C201) at first glance does not look damaged.
          Thanks for your time.

                Hi,
Try removing the switch pcb connector to confirm switch problem. If solved replace all switches.

820-00165 pulsing and stuck at S5
                  by speggio91
                  Hello everyone!

I have this board that got slightly water damanged and it is stuck at S5 state. It pulses once every 5 seconds.
When connected the magsafe 2 to the bench psu, the current goes from 0.02A to 0.10A when is pulsing.

When using the genuine magsafe 2 charger, the light turn on and it became green and then amber. The fan is not spinning.
When I tried the SMC bypass mode, the fan spins a quarter every 5 seconds and the pulsing is still present every time the fan spin.

The pulses are present in the CPU Vcore rails on L7320 and L7310....

I have a MBA 13" 2020 820-01958 that was pulsing on 5V_G3S and P1V8_G3S power Rail. Also pulsing on the enabled PIN on U7650 PIN4. Pulsing on P5VG3S_EN R7613 PIN 1. Anybody has the same problem? any idea was causing the power rail pulsing. I don't see shorted on the board. Thanks

Macbook Air 820-00165 board power pulsing twice and missing PM_SLP_S4_L
                  by ronyan
I have a 820-00165 board that is power pulsing twice going from drawing 34mA up to ~350mA then back down to 34. No fan spin. It is missing the PM_SLP_S4_L signal. As I have no previous experience with this particular problem, I've been measuring a lot and have already replaced U1900 and U1950. I've also replaced R5513 near the SMC that looked corroded. The behavior of the power pulsing twice has not changed.

I've watched some of Louis' youtube videos on the issue and have checked the SPI resistors for continuity and they are good, probe points are also excellent, no signs of corrosion....

Can I replace KME cap with Samxon GF cap?
                  by chth96
                  Hello.
I have 29inch LG CRT TV,And Yesterday,Whenever I connect AC power cord to power outlet without switch on, I heard a sound like white noise, And When I switched on this CRT TV, It sometime displayed correctly But usually It won't last more than 20 minute and The screen begin to dark and It finally did not display at all for hours..
Today,I dismantled its plastic case and discharged the biggest capacitor(400wv 470uf) which still holds 250 voltage, and I finally detached PCB from cathode-ray tube.
I measured ESR value of most of caps in PCB with MESR-100 and I found that KME(25v...

Meta Quest 2 not turning on - pulsing amp draw
                  by groomit
                  Hi
Following problem regarding a Quest 2 I got with broken USB port and "not turning on".
After replacing the USB/Audio port + cable the Device still refuses to turn on. A USB multimeter is showing a pulsing amp draw ranging from 70 mA to 1.2 A and back.
All obvious caps measured good (no short).
A visual thermal inspection showed two ICs glowing up also pulsing.

One was a Qualcomm PMIC PM8150B which I suspected to be the culprit. But replacing it with a china-replacement made no difference.

The other one I can't identify. It looks like...
