Pardon me for jumping in ..... but the readings in post #10 doesn't make any sense to me ... does it make sense to anyone who understands the FSDM0465 smps controller? I'm expecting 12v on pin3 and 311v on pin6 and pin5 is supposed to be N.C. unless I'm not reading it right .....[/QUOTE]
But Post 50 Shows a voltage of 4.98 volts on THe 14.5v pin ,even though thats wrong, it does show that the SMPS is producing output,and the thing works somewhat when he inadvertenly shorted 2 pins together on the Schottky,He needs to trace the 5V line back from 6 &7 back to the Caps that filter it, and change them, and those two diodes need changing,D604 &605.
