The search function built in to board software is often about as useless as bald tires in an ice storm.

I also had a board lie to me that there were zero results when there were.

Well I never seem to have much of a problem with it and it seemed to work for the noobie. I just dont like wasting my time because people are too lazy to try.

Let us know if you cant get a new board.
Usual fix for these is replace D22 - Quite difficult to get at.

Yes, that is a good guide Fuss. I'm glad to see they gave badcaps credit for the fix on that D22 Shottky Diode.

For you guys that are interested; I found 2 sellers of that PSU - New
80 to 90 dollars. That's not a bad price for such an expensive monitor.

Hi Guys, i just have a question that is probably easy to answer if you have experience on such matters.
My Dell Monitors screen was damaged by lightning via the HDMI port. The monitor does come on but cannot display HDMI or VGA image. it says no signal.
I have ordered the board on Aliexpress. They say 100% working. Don't trust. it.
My question is, after installing the new board, is there anything else I need to do in order to make this board work. I know on some TV's you need to load software on the board to make it work but this is a monitor or even having to go into service...

                                Hello,

I have a Dell 3008WFP monitor that I disassembled to replace any bad capacitors. After reassembly, the monitor turns on but immediately starts to cycle through simple colored screens; red, yellow, blue, black and white. From my internet search it appears that the monitor has entered a "burn in" mode. I tried all the different button push combinations that were recommended to enter a service menu but none worked. My question is, could this be caused by a hardware issue; an improperly seated connector or something else. Does anyone else have any experience with a...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                                by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                                by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...
