SR5014 Marantz AV receiver software / advice please

    Hi all

    HDMI out is unreliable .

On occasion will work , but most of the time ,either no signal , or hangs on Marantz logo .

Could be on to a winner .

    2 updates

First one is listed as a forced update . 14.6 MB file ,which took 24 mins to complete .

Second is the HEOS update . 66.9 MB , yet only took 5 mins to complete .

Both are just plug & play , IE power unit on , insert USB , then wait .

Still requires more testing but HDMI signal now seems stable .

    Only obtaining video via HDMI monitor 2 out ( 4K / HDCP2.3 )

Via monitor 1 ( ARC ) only audio , but that could just be a setting .

Will test all 8 of the HDMI input ports then report back .

Copy DMI info easily with Hex editing software and Macro script
      by SMDFlea
Copying DMI information from an old bios to a new one is difficult for some members, often they have no experience with a hex editor,or some that have tried find it too hard. There is an option to make things easier for those members so that they don`t need to post their own bios backup for the DMI copying.

Experienced bios modding members can help by posting in other threads the DMI offsets, macro script generated by the software and a download link to the software at softpedia mentioned in this guide,or post your macros in the comments here with a link to the bios request thread ....

Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
      by NeedsPractice
I contacted Microsoft and they said they do not have software to where you could backup all your files to one drive. I mean you can copy some of your files to your one drive folder and back stuff up. However, it does not do this automatically.

I have around (10) hard drives I want to backup to the cloud with One Drive. What is the best software to do this with?

      AOMEI Backupper
      I Drive
      Easeus

I do not want a Cloud Plan. I just need the software to take my DATA and Transfer it to the cloud in a nice, readable, viewable fashion. I wish...

Running out of Ideas, hoping someone smart can provide some for my ONKYO TX-SR353 Receiver
      by CDNBrewer
      Hello Everyone,

I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.

      Symptoms:
      • Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
      • Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
      • I swapped the Left and Right surround
