no confusion, just wanted to be sure of the timeframes and actions. You might consider redoing the update process.

Re: Denon avr-x2000 no sound on main zone

      Here is the current summary:

      1. Analog audio: (direct or any other mode) - no sound on main zone. Zone 2 good.
      2. HDMI: All ports works for video. The audio doesn't work irrespective of AVR or TV. Tried with 2 different hdmi sources and same results.
      3. Network player: Works only on zone 2.
      4. Tuner: Works only on zone 2.
      5. OPT1: No sound
      6. GUI: Works intermittently.

Running through all the paths, especially analog pass through and hdmi with TV audio .. both take completely different paths and both do not work. Wondering if there is some sort of muting that is happening because of a DSP or some other issue ?

Check if the small rectangular voltage regulators on top of the the HDMI board (U3601-U3605, EX3AV written on top) are OK. Each is responsible for an essential voltage for the HDMI chipset. See service manual p.142.
Im going to revive this, seems more info and replies on this one than on mine. Anyway...I pray someone cane help me to get me receiver back up and running. Same model as OP, only thing is, I have no sound on any channel, even direct does not work. I have done this as well, and is within spec as per the service manual. My GUI also seems to be a bit off, a bit lazy if I can say that. Wierd thing is, when accessing the menu, on the display on the reciever goes dim, but only when selecting certain sub menus or items. If I go back to the sub menu above that it foes to normal brightness again. Any advice would be appreciated pls.

            by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

            Denon AVR 1912 no sound

            Hello,
As a foreword I'm relatively novice with component level audio gear repair. My amplifier stopped producing sound and I currently have no funds to buy a new one so I need any help to repair it. I know "no sound" is one of the most common problem but there were other symptoms so some of you seasoned repairman might able to pinpoint the stuff I have to check. I did download the service manual from manualslib the "no sound checklist" is a bit intimidating.

So i bought it working. First symptom: speaker protection relays on the audio board were clicking...

            Good day all

My first post on the forum, tried to find a introduction page, but couldnt. So thank you for having me here.

After spending most of the past 2 days Googling and watching Youtube videos, I came across the forum, in the hopes that I could get some assistance with the above mentioned amplifier. As I do most days, I switched the unit on yesterday morning, got the relay clicks as per normal, but no sound from any of the speakers. Tried "Audio Direct' and the same issues there. In a panic state, I did a factory reset, without any luck. Then disconnected all...

Denon AVR S720W Main Speaker no output.
            by Z2yzx
            Hi everyone!

Does anyone out there have any insight as to why my AVR will not output sound through main speakers or head phones?

            Here is the info:
            Unit powers up normal
            Relays click
Zone 2 works fine 100% of the time.
Main Zone sometimes works fine like .05% of the time.
Sometimes I can plug headphones and hear scratching sound via the headphones. Once that happens I can unplug the headphones and the main speaker zone works fine.

is there something I can inspect?

I have somewhat moderate skills with electronics....

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
            by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...
