Thanks, there's a green cap blocking the view of most of the black chip, guess I could take it out, the damn pads keep wanting to lift on me, hard for me to deal with these little boards, I'll never complain about a big tv powerboard after dealing with these, lol, I know they're not tiny but my 20/20 vision is long gone.

If you're pulling pads, try turning the temperature down on your iron a little. It's not uncommon to have to remove components to be able to access or see others.

speaker off and powered on: 1=6.3 on=5.9 6=6.2 on=5.8 12=4.9 on=4.7
7=6.2 on=5.8 13=5.1 on=4.7
2=6.2 on=5.9 8=5.1 on=4.8 14=5.1 on=4.8
3=6.1 on=5.7 9=5.0 on=4.8
4=13.6 on=12.7 10=5.0 on=4.7
5=6.1 on=5.7 11=0 on=0 both chips measure the same.

How about the power amplifiers TA?
Did you make the probe yet?
Also you need to try using stereo headphone to see if all the controls work OK or not.
The little board with the small IC4560 is the headphone amplifiers fro driving headphone with the switched jack that will cut out the signals to the TA power amp and the sub woofer output when headphone is plugged in.

The link I gave you use the powered PC speaker attached to the probe that I told the OP to make, basically the same as the one in your probe video. Don't you have any PC powered speaker around or any audio amplifiers?

Had one extra set, tried to make them work but couldn't get any sound from the probe, they just hummed, no reaction when I touched the probe end to anything, no audio amps but the one I made works.

You should be able to probe the audio output of the PC feeding the Gateway speaker since the Gateway is getting the audio signal so it should be present. The ground of the probe is connected to the circuit ground of what you are probing, correct?

Had the ground on the heatsink of acl's, maybe that was wrong?

You just have to Ohm it out, or you can just use the negative leg of the main filter cap.

Thinking about switching the big cap 2200uf with a 4700uf that I have on hand, do you think it will hurt anything to go up that high? voltage is 35 the 2200 is 25, I might have a 3300 somewhere.

At this point I would not deal with the main filter cap yet, higher capacitance will cause higher inrush current for the wallwart.
BTW, did you try using stereo headphone to see if both channels work OK or not, if it does that will help narrowing down the problem.

So that means all the pots are OK, preamp section are OK all the way to the headphone amplifier board, so I would probe the input pins and the output pins of the TA IC with your audio probe next.
