Samsung soundbar (HT-WS1) goes into standby mode almost immediately

    Hello,

I have a Samsung soundbar (HT-WS1G/XEF) here that goes into standby mode almost immediately after turning it on. I've only ever had it work once which was when I first obtained it and I tested both the Toslink and the analog input which seemed to work fine at the time.

Opened it up by removing 12 screws, checked out the components with my limited understanding (tested some of the diodes and mosfets I could get to, checked the caps and looked for other obvious signs of damage) but I haven't the foggiest as to why it goes back into standby mode almost immediately.

Any clues or hints about where to look next?

3 caps in the psu look like the tops are starting to dome.
2 on the left, one small one top-right above the mains caps

As STJ says , they look suspicious.

Replace them all and see how the soundbar reacts to it. It worked for my philips htc...which needed a lot more caps to be replaced!!!
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!
