Rec'd this with a broken O/P
The power darlingtons require replacement.
Well.. no surpise there, usual left channel abuse has popped the power stage.
Possibly will require to reclaibrate the O/P also
Q - This is populated with SamWha capacitors
What are the views of the forum in respect of these caps?
Bearing in mind this amp is flavoured with, for example;
SamWha SG - 50V 470uF, 35V 1000uF, 50VC 10uF, 50V 100uF, 50V 220uF et al - all 85 deg C,
SamWha NP - 25V 100uF, 50V 1uF - all 85 deg C
SamWha HP - 1 of 35V 8200uF - all 105 deg C
These are used for regulation, DC blocking etc.
The power stage is on an entirely separate pcb.
Uses Toshiba TA7317P OCL protection cct with relay
Uses JRC4558D op amp IC for small signal gain etc.
Uses Toshiba 2SA1837 and 2SC4793 for line drive
Uses Toshiba 2SA1493 and 2SC5200 for power stage, is a push-pull design
Uses a KECKIA7815API for voltage regulation
