Hi all just wandering does any one have any experience with these receivers. I am bidding on one on ebay fairly cheap atm with no sound fault. Just wandering if any one has any info or experience with these if so let me know cheers.

Onkyo has a recall site, where do you punch in the serial number of the receiver and will tell you, if they will take it in for free warranty repair, or not.
I would just skip that receiver, with this issue(no sound, no video).Comment

I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.
The firmware reported is the following:

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.
