    Acoustic Solutions AV SUB MKII

This is a working, budget subwoofer amplifier. It claims 50W continuous output power into its built in subwoofer.

It uses two Toshiba (possibly fake?) power transistors - C5198 and A1941.

It uses 4700uF, 35V for the +/-B supply; I didn't measure the supply voltages, but I'd guess around 25-30V. It uses a toroidal transformer which makes up the majority of the unit's weight and the driver looks fairly well sized for 50W, though I haven't been able to see its labelling.

Did you edit the picture with the transistors in it, or do they have a sticker on them? If they do have a sticker, they may likely fakes.

Whose sub is this? Did you just take it apart out of curiosity?

Yeah, they're edited to make the part numbers more visible.

It's my dad's christmas present. He got it with the Yamaha amp which I fixed. This subwoofer amp, three good speakers (Gale brand), and a 6.1 Yamaha home-theatre amplifier for £30, is very hard to disagree with.
