sherwood Newcastle R-672 A/V Receiver Shuts down

I have a R-672 that powers down to standby mode randomly. It was in a cabinet that held a lot of heat, and was wondering if it was triggering a heat sensor or something from getting too hot. I took it out of this cabinet and and let it sit to cool down for several hours. I unplugged everything but the power just to make sure there wasn't a short from a wire or something and still had the same issue. I then did a factory reset to the reveiver, powered it up, and still had the same issue. I took the cover off the unit and saw no visible problems to any capacitors or anything. Any ideas of what's going on?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Probably a leaky transistor causing excessive current -> overheat condition. Look at the output stage, the main output transistor, then those that bias it and so on.
