I would like to use the ST TL072CN OP amp and create a one channel mixer. I have an external variable power supply. I hooked up the op amp to my cd player and out of the op to a powered speaker and was able to play music but it had alot of distortion. I guess cause I dont have any capacitors or resisters connected. Can someone explain what the resistors and capacitors would do in circuit and why I would need it and where I would place them in circuit.

Re: ST TL072CN OP Amp connectivity
Can we see your diagram so I can tell what is going on? Are you using BI-polar power supply?

Re: ST TL072CN OP Amp connectivity
Sorry I don't have a diagram. I used the pin outs below.
1 - Output 1
2 - Inverting input 1
3 - Non-inverting input 1
4 - VCC-
5 - Non-inverting input 2
6 -Inverting input 2
7 - Output 2
8 - VCC+
I connected my cd player to pin 5 as positive and pin 6 as negative. I used pin 7 from the op to my powered speaker and heard music but it was distorted. Also where would I would I hookup a potentiometer for volume?Comment

Re: ST TL072CN OP Amp connectivity
No feedback resistors, coupling caps, nothing? It is not that simple.
Please see the web site I provide to get basic understanding first.

by mferna14Hi All,
I am working on Bose Wave Music System AM/FM CD Player Model AWRCC1. Suddenly NO AUDIO at all. Not from the AM/FM Radion & neither through the CD Player. I used the headphone, still no sound. Opened the unit & checked the motherboard to see any shorts or any blown components but all seem to be in a very good condition. The test of both speakers are fine & they work well. The display seems to be ok as I see when I switch over between radio/CD with teh remote control & the time shows good. Does any know what could be the problem or any kind of repair tips &...-

by kokopelli75Hello!
My mother has a Victrola Navigator player that stopped functioning after a storm. I checked out what I could - all player functions appear to work, but there is no audio output in either the speakers or the headphone jack. I suspect (with my limited knowledge) that the amplifier part of the device is toast. Photo of the suspected board is attached. There's separate boards for front display, record player, etc. This board has a section for power regulation and a section for amp. There's a UTC7266 7+7W dual bridge amplifier IC and a CSC2314F sound processor IC on the board. Visually,...1 Photo-

[Apologies if this is the wrong place for this]
I've a small (7"?) W8 tablet that I use as a media player in the office (I never know which workstation I'll be using so this lets me export the music to a "common point"/appliance from which it can be player).
But, the music player application (MS?) is obviously designed for a desktop machine -- all of the controls are tiny (on a 7" screen) instead of being "finger sized (consistent with a touch screen).
I'm looking for alternatives. Big buttons. Support for album artwork (so I can...-

by unimatrix93Hello everyone, I'm trying to troubleshoot this LG hometheater player.
The customer forced her USB drive reversed into it's USB socket and since then the player won't work properly, only shows "Please wait" error forever on it's display.
Now I started diagnosing the USB socket and the mainboard where it's connected.
I found 20ohm resistance to ground on the 5V line of the USB.
5V is missing and I found the buck converter of the USB line, TPS65252 IC.
After measuring the pins I realized that both VIN and 3V3 is correctly present...12-10-2024, 10:31 AM - Loading...
