We have a small community center where locals gather for a monthly jam session / community music night. The makeshift sound system includes a Pyle Pro PTA1400 amplifier.
The left side audio has been intermittent, no sound when turned on, crank up the volume and there would be a defining bang and it would work normally through the evening with normal volume control. Would have to repeat the procedure the following month, almost like something was momentarily healing. The amp has now given its last bang and channel A is dead. Did the normal cable swap, it's definitely dead, not a cable problem. Have signal to the amplifier board input, but no output. Wiggled connectors, tapped on things, flexed circuit boards, no response, nothing obviously burned up. Any suggestions as to where to start? I have written Pyle requesting a schematic, no response yet, might someone have a schematic they could share?
Thanks in advance!
