by CG2To be a bit more specific, I've got a 20-ish year old Liebherr that has just stopped working. This was quite a sophisticated beast for its time. It's a twin compressor model, and you set the desired temperatures of the fridge and freezer parts from a couple of little control panels above the door. It displays the actual temps on some eight segment displays there, flashing if it's working to get to where you want it. There's a control board with a microprocessor on it that read the temperature from a couple of sensors, switches the compressors on as necessary, and runs the display. There's also...

by tmcwHave this fridge, laboratory grade unit, not working fully.
It's designed with a chilling unit at the top, on the inside, and a fan just below that. When the door is closed, the fan blows the cold air down through the fridge, and when the door opens, the fan switches off, presumably so that it doesn't blow all the cold air out.
The fan isn't switching on, so in addition to not having uniform cold throughout the fridge, the chilling tubes tend to ice up. I took the lid off the top, electronics are in the lid, and when the door is opened and closed, I can hear the relevant... -
by J_TI have a question - I have replaced the PSU on my own iMac Pro. However, when removing the motherboard I knocked of a 120 OHM 30% 0.3A small surface mount common mode inductor/filter (~0602 size) in the ethernet circuit near the female RJ45 port.
The closest match I can find on Mouser is 120 OHM common mode inductor at 100MHz - my question is this frequency correct for a motherboard? The schematic for the motherboard only provides '120 OHM 30% 0.3A' and the TDK part number does not return anything in google.
Sorry, I am not experienced hence a basic question.

by Liam.25Hello,
our fridge and freezer stopped cooling last weekend, it’s a Beko fridge.
looking at the bottom, I can hear the relay clicking on the plug attached to the compressor.
There is also a 3uf capacitor, I’m thinking this is a run capacitor, I tested this with my fluke and and it measured at 1.5uf, so I replaced this (new one tested just over 3uf) so that’s where it should be.
I was thinking this was the issue. The compressor seem to run for like a minute then shutoff again.
inside the relay, there is a Klixon 4tm thermistor,...4 Photos -
by connorcc2005I have a 20 year old Kenmore side by side refrigerator that was acting up with the following issues:
- Evaporator coil in the freezer was frozen up.
- Unit was still holding temperature
- Evaporator fan would run 2 to 3 seconds on then shut off only to repeat.
