I am not complaining about this fridge, after all it was purchased in 2005 and its not a daily problem. It just seems odd that at any moment, it can start peeing out the water dispenser and flooding the freezer with ice maker continuous over fill in the middle of the night because these diodes decide to give up the ghost.

There is a know issue about this it has to do with a temperature sensor that failure to a closed position and it makes a mess in the freezer I replace a few them before or it the diode issue as well also there is an issue with the plastic gear that times the functions of the ice maker I have also replaced several of them as well

I have also stopped fixing these issues and recommend replacing the ice maker and not repairing them because the repair does not always resolve the issue because it will probably return again
