Hello all I have a creda 37760 tumble dryer I'm trying to seek a replacement capacitor the size is 7.5 with three spade terminals I've seen four spade replacements online which state universal can these be used

Explain why it won't work, are you sure it is bad? It does NOT look like a dual start/run capacitor, it is only a single 7.5µ capacitor

The cap is, definitely at, fault, The tumble dryer works after one manual spin on the drum, the motor is clearly getting no charge.
I can, get either a two spade or four spade connector capacitor, obviously by the photo I supplied it has three wires going into a three point capacitor.
So if I fit a four spade version is this going to work and will the spare terminal be ok unused.

It is a single capacitor; it has two connections, they just put 2 spade connectors on each connection, here I will draw you a picture.
Each side of the capacitor basically has one of these so you CAN connect two wires, but you don't have to, you can only connect one wire if that is all that is required, just make sure you connect the two red wires that are on the same side on the old cap to the same side on the new cap.
If you used a 2 blade cap, you would need to splice the 2 red wires together, which would be unnecessary, get the 4 blade and ignore the extra connection.Comment

THERE IS NO DOUBLE CONNECTOR, THE WIRES/SPADE CONNECTORS JUST UNPLUG FROM THE CAPACITOR AND PLUG ONTO THE NEW CAPACITOR, THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE 4 CONNECTIONS ON THE NEW CAPACITOR AND ONE IS LEFT UNUSED
I can see you have never worked with spade connectors or these types of capacitors, but it can't be simpler
here is a video of someone changing a similar capacitor BUT NOTE his only has 2 wires, on your capacitor with 3 wires, the two red wires connect to the same side of the capacitor DO NOT MIX THEM UP WITH THAT SINGLE (DUST COVERED) WIRE

by tmcwI was looking for a replacement capacitor for a tumble dryer, and I found one on eBay that has the correct values, and even looked similar, but of course, when the capacitor arrived, it didn't look like the cap in the listing picture.
I've attached the old (left) and the replacement (right) caps in a picture. The new one has plastic housing, the old one has a metal housing and is bigger. Am I likely to have any issues with this replacement?

I’m using a 10 µF, 20 V tantalum capacitor as a decoupling capacitor across a 5 V supply. When I power the circuit, the capacitor burns out.
At first, I assumed the tantalum capacitor was defective and replaced it, but the new one burned out as well when the circuit was powered.
I then replaced the tantalum capacitor with a 10 µF, 63 V electrolytic capacitor. This time, the capacitor did not fail after powering the circuit.
I do not understand why the tantalum capacitor burns up?-

by notallbadJust wondering if anyone has successfully attempted a re-gas on a heat pump tumble dryer.
The dryer currently in question runs on R134a.
The dryer has been completely stripped down/cleaned/tested and re-assembled however there is no heating/cooling effect so working on the assumption it requires re-gassing. Of course, its likely theres a leak which would require soldering or even the possibility that the compressor has an internal fault even though it is running.
I was thinking of getting a car aircon regas kit or probably easier but slightly dearer an hvac... -
by Petros_ZHello. I have a board of a candy tumble dryer (evoc 981 at-s).
It does not give an error but it keeps drying even without load. It has 3 ntc. Two are for the clothes and one for the compressor. I measure them and they look ok. I went to the board to measure the voltage given to them. It gives about 4v and it is going down as the ntc value going down.
Because I wanted to measure more easily I tried to solder wires on the board. Probably I manage to destroy the component of the title. It looks like as a smd resistor. Hopefully there were other two same components. I disorder them and... - Loading...
