    Audio Wire Connector Question/Opinion!?...

So I've got this old "Program One" stereo receiver & equalizer, and the RCA jacks are pretty crummy from sitting idle for 20+ years, so I've ordered new jacks to replace the old ones...upon inspection, I see that the backside of the jacks are actually wrapped (pics) with the their specific wires...no sort of connectors present. I am taking a short cut and attaching 22-20 guage pull to seat terminals to the wires, and then connecting to backside of the RCA jacks as the pics show. They are are very snug fit, and I also plan to add solder for reinforcement. Can anyone offer me their opinion on approaching this project in this way? Using this sort of connection rather than wrapping the wire as it was originally? Or is there a different kind of connector that would work better for this project? Please let me know! Would love some input on this!

I would just solder wires directly to the terminals of the RCA jack.

If the originals were not broken, why replace them with something that likely won't mount properly

I'd also vote for cleaning the originals if possible. You may not like the replacement, do the holes line up perfectly? Need to drill another hole in the case?

If the original was cracked or broken in some way, I'd agree and resort to just soldering to the pins which were designed for PCBs - quick disconnects won't hold onto those pins very well.

you would need a wrapping tool and also original style pins to wrap the wire onto . not worth the expense and trouble .just clean old ones if not broken .

No LCD image after connector replacement – lifted components and damaged resistor (Nintendo Switch Lite HDH-CPU-02)
            by Tomylee
            Hi everyone,

Sorry for the person who’s going to read all this !
I'm on a Nintendo Switch Lite, motherboard HDH-CPU-02.

While replacing the left joystick, I had to remove the motherboard to access the connector underneath. When I lifted the LCD connector latch, it broke (the plastic had become brittle over time), so I replaced the entire connector.

During the desoldering of the LCD connector using hot air, three small components located just below the connector (likely 0402 capacitors) came off and remained stuck to the bottom of the...

Meaco Arete One / Deye Dehumidifier not working
            by CG2
I've got a dehumidifier that has stopped working. Plug it in, press the power switch, and it beeps 5 times. Nothing showing in the display (which is just two 7 segment displays) apart from the two decimal points flashing. The model is a MeacoDry Arete One 18L, which seems to be a rebadged Deye (all the boards are marked Deye). Here's what I've got so far (details in case anyone else in future should need them).

Starting with the power board. Mains power comes in at the red connector top left. The compressor is powered by the orange connector to the right of that and is switched by...

Toshiba Satellite M50-A keyboard connector on LA-A481P motherboard
            by michhak
            Hi guys,
i have a damaged keyboard connector on my older Toshiba Satellite M50-A laptop. I know there is LA-A481P motherboard. In attachment pictures there is a real looking connector and i also found a schematic to the connector. But i need help with finding a real electronic part to replace the damaged connector. e.g. on aliexpress (or different page).
It is 34pin connector and the length from pin n.1 to pin n.34 is 26mm. So it means a pitch length is 0.764 mm. I have seen connectors with 0.5mm , 0.7mm , 0.8mm and 1mm pitch length. But not with 0.75. Is it some special custom connector...

Tiny Tech ATX480W output power ticking
            by mikey5791
            Hi to all forum members,

This psu (Tiny Tech model ATX 480W) had been installed in a very old Windows XP PC but recently i pulled it out as the pc cannot start. To test it, i jumped the green wire and black wire on the 24 pin connector. The psu fan jerk a bit but not spinning. I used my dmm to check dc voltage on output connector wire, the 5v red wire keeps ticking a bit at around dc1v....then drops and ticking again around 1v. It is the same situation with the 12v yellow wire.

Fyi, i desoldered the secondary side electrolytic cap those over 1000uf...

70mai Dash Cam A510 - help identifying connector on camera module
            by m1ch43lzm
            Hi everyone
I have a 70mai Dash Cam A510 which failed after about 3 months of being installed in my car, likely due to heat, i got it from aliexpress so no point in trying to return it for warranty (and shipping it back would cost me almost the same as a new one from ali)
The camera would boot loop showing 70mai logo on the screen, sometimes it would boot fine then the live view would freeze or display purple lines

I already took it apart, and found out that the camera boots fine if i unplug the camera module from the main PCB, sometimes "playing" with the connector...
