Thermal Circuit Breaker Problem - can we fix it?

    Hi guys
I have this ETA 3120-F321-P7T1-R14XB3 Circuit breaker from a Hill DX3000 Power Amplifier.

The first problem I found with the amp was a faulty 25A Bridge rectifier FB2506 that was short circuit on one leg AC to negative

I've replaced that but the amp has no power. That is because the ETA circuit breaker is open circuit on one pole. The other pole switches OK. The primary of the transformer seems OK (not short or open and doesn't look distressed) so I think that ETA circuit breaker is the only other problem I need to fix.

Problem is finding a replacement. I can find some similar that have 3120-F321-P7T1-xxxxxx but the last digits are different.

The similar ones I can find are silly expensive like 40 quid or more and mostly in the USA.

What is inside these circuit breakers? I have had success in the past dismantling multipole switches and fixing them (usually heavily coroded contacts)

If the circuit breaker is actually a double pole breaker and one pole is working, could i just short out the o/c side?

Add an inline fuse for safety instead?

Looking for a replacement, an equivalent part that isnt silly money, or how to dismantle and fix this one

    best regards
    Rich

Here is the pdf for the E-T-A 3120 series
They do have a "switch only" without the breaker that would fit, and you could add a seperate circuit breaker in ine

That part number might made for just that company that made that amp
So you might not be able to get the exact part

        Thanks for the advice

One pole of the circuit breaker switches fine, so I think i will refit it and just another circuit breaker where the leads go to the faulty (open circuit) pole and it should work fine

Something like this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Techna-T1...EAAOSwszZa5-hL I can get for less than £5

I would recommend replacing it with two separate breaker because I would not be surprised if the other half might be damaged in some way

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

Electric oven tripping circuit breaker after turned on for 3-5 minutes
            by beetle1303
My electric oven was working fine all the while from purchased 2 years ago. I have been using it weekly for about a year, but stopped using for a year now since then.
When I turn it on again yesterday, the tripped the circuit breaker and whole house no power supply. I reset the circuit breaker, and retried. Same thing happened.

            This is what happened:
            - Turned on the oven power supply, set temperature to 200c, everything worked for a few minutes, then the power tripped. Oven was warmed/hot.
            - Reset circuit breaker, retried, same thing happened.

            i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

            Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
            by perzyk23
            Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....
