    P-Dim # 2 ?

I would like to know what is P-Dim # 2?

Is that means the TV, LG 55" ccfl, has double dimming control signals, for what purpose needs A-dim, p-dim#1 and p-dim#2?

    Re: P-Dim # 2 ?

A-Dim = Analog dimming control Voltage
    P-DIM 1, 2 = PWM dimming.
The board can be stuffed in many way to meet the many TV model requirement. a-DIM is hardly used these day. You will use one (Analog) or the other (PWM) depend on the design requirement.
Use your scope for PWM and DC meter for the analog to see what you have when you adjust the backlights level. The values may go up and down if the dynamic contrast is turned on.
One example of multiple PWM dim controls, this one has 4 for zones control.

      Re: P-Dim # 2 ?

Thank you for the circuit diagram that is the one worth collecting, because I'm studying SLC 2013M LED driver IC, I will test later on, I'm very interested in that. but this tv needs a mainboard, I did over reflow on it.

Can I have a question? Epwm, E is an abbreviated form?

        E = External.
See the spec sheet page 12. In the old day of LCD panel, you can control dimming of the backlights in many ways, depend on the TV manufacturers choosing.

            Problem

Fixing a dimming zone TV with LEDs not lighting up. Dimming zone circuit introduces added variable to diagnose LED and/or Dimming Zone Driver board? Some 1/2 rows of LEDs appears to be out in active dimming zone off AND some brightness flickering with active dimming zone high while playing changing video

            Conflicting Spec

Vizio indicate this TV has 10 dimming zones. However, LED strips and Zoned light driver connector suggest 12

Repair Log - TCL ROKU 65S4 BACKLIGHT DEAD

Hopefully I can save someone some time or maybe they can avoid fixing these garbage epoxied TV sets

.. stripping down was a pain .. tons of screws all along bezel edge .. the top of the glass LCD panel is glued to the casing (for a reason)
.. all in all took around 4-6 hours to repair teardown .. swap .. reassemble .. current adjustment and then burn in and extra evening
.. single blown backlight led top left row .. 3030 5.5v (6v) .. I had some in stock from another set
.. swapping LED no problem .. one bad led .. the solder pad under this LED is normal .. no...

Denon AVR-X3600H No sound even to pre outs in direct analog mode. Help please!
            by FuzzyOwl
Hi, I have a Denon AVR-X3600H I'm trying to repair. I have no electronics repair experience but I have a multimeter, service manual and a will to fix it (https://device.report/m/d5de8c00e617...f63147aba9.pdf)

Everything seems to work except for no sound even through the pre outs. However I will get sound using Zone 2 pre outs.

Only digital symptom I can tell is it will soft lock when in the Speakers/Test Tone menu and be unable to adjust +/- db during the test tone.

I've followed the trouble shooting guide, audio check...

lowest current galvanometer/analog meter (passively powered!)
            by eccerr0r
Most analog meters are actually current driven - a current is needed to deflect the pointer full scale. They can be lots of different values. There are ones that can take several amperes to swing the pointer as they have internal shunts.

On the other hand there are many that are rated in microamps for the intent that they draw as little power as possible from the devices under test. Some are 1mA, 500µA, 200µA, 100µA, and the ubiquitous 50µA frequently used in analog VOMs. There are even 20, 25, 30 µA and even down to 10µA. Been collecting a bunch of different ratings and...

            BL0202C BL0202B BL0200C Datasheet
            by Document Archive
The BL0202C BL0202B BL0200C are 2ch output LED driver IC for LED backlight, and it can do dimming to 0.02% by external PWM signal.

This IC realizes a high efficiency by the boost convertor control that absorbs variability on VF.

The product easily achieves high cost-performance LED drive system with few external components and enhanced protection functions.

            Features and Benefit

            Boost Convertor

            ● Current-Mode type PWM Control
            ● PWM frequency is 100 kHz or 200 kHz
            ● Maximum On Duty is 90%
