    Super Glue

Accidently I cut my finger from the sharp edge of the LED screen metal case when I was changing LEDs. I'm using Super Glue?

    Is super glue toxic?
According to the United States National Toxicology Program, the inhalation exposure toxicity rate of of ethyl cyanoacrylate, or super glue, is safe and additional study is unnecessary. The report also highlighted an extremely large LD50, with over 5000 milligrams per kilogram of body weight required for a lethal dose.

It is sad to say I use super glue instead of Band-aid. So, I can go back to work immediately.

Usual general purpose Super Glue uses acetone as an solvent. From where comes the bad smell of the open bottle of this glue? How do you think?
There is special medical glue, that doesn't use acetone as an solvent, but ethanol.
It's stupid, stupid, stupid to use general purpose Super Glue.
p.s I have no idea why you are writing in Spanish as well.

First, I saw people did that, my reaction just like you.

I try one time and it is better than any medical Band-aid or First Aid Spray which won't stop the blood flowing out, but super glue stop right there instantly.

This is no joking, that is a life-saver. Everybody should try it at least one time. My wife taught me that, She is a certified caregiver.

                  Re: Super Glue

I've used it on a pretty nasty cut before because I was unable to get to a hospital. It worked out pretty well with no scarring. The regular stuff is a little irritating and can burn. The medical formulations are supposed to be more pleasant. You never know what additives they stick in the regular super glue so I'm not sure if I'd use that for everyday cuts.

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

                              by mitsu2k
I know many folks on this forum warn against conductive glue and suggest removing it immediately upon site. I'm here to vouch and say these people know what they are talking about. To be more accurate, the glue isn't intended to be and doesn't actually start out conductive. It gets conductive as it is heated by components that get hot. The glue starts out to be a light tan color but as it is exposed to heat, it gets darker and darker until it is a dark brown. I have found that it becomes conductive at the point that it reaches a light brown color on darker.

                              Here is an experience I...

Asus ROG Ally - Super IO Chip replacement
                              by ongobongo
                              Hello everyone,
anyone here who has experience with replacing the super IO chip of an ROG ally?
I have one on my bench which has a burnt super io (ITE 5125VG-192). On some devices the super-io downloads it's firmware from BIOS if it's empty. As i don't have a programmer for this chips i hope someone here has already changed the chip and can give me a hint if it's working with an empty chip if it needs external programming.
                              Thanks

This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...
