Take a photo of the end of the connector and call Digikey tech support and they can help you with it just make sure that you take real good close photos of each end connector

I have done this myself before and have good results

    I hope this helps

I do not know fully software wise, but it seems you can use this on a chip with 6 pins. They do make up to 40 pin ones. You will need what we use to call a dip clip to attach the wires too and the clip goes on the chip on a board you want to program. I would think the board would have no power on it and you would either program it through a computer connected to the USB or it might be possible to program it from a programmed IC in the TL866A

I have this TL866 schematic, but not sure if the "CS" or "A" version.
I guess you can update its bootloader through 6-pin J1, and I do not know about ICP of other chips. It's a basic serial port with no buffers/ESD protection etc.

Here is some more information on the serial port.

Thank you guys, It is called MiniPro TL866 ICSP In circuit programming cable!

            I found it!

PIC16F877A IC is used for this program demo. In circuit programming can be done on Microcontrollers leaving the target chip no board itself. Its amazingly powerful programmer.

My question is how the TV manufacturers duplicate the EEPROMs is before it put on the PCB or after? then they use Rx Tx pins on PCB or USB port to write the firmwares to the EEPROMs ?

I would think it would be dependent on the TV. If Wi-Fi they could use that. It most likely is software controlled. You would have to know there software routine to get into this program. Also, it is most likely easier to program the eeproms before they are put in the board. They would have one master chip and a programmer with several ports/sockets for chips to be programmed. The programmer would verify that each chip was program correctly by checksum. So such a programmer could program 25 eeproms in a matter of a few minutes and they would be verified good.

                    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

TL866A - need to program 25Q21BT but device not on list
                    by dicky96
                    Hi guys
This is the first time my TL866CS let me down (other than 1.8V eproms for which I ordered CH341 but it did not arrive yet)

I want to program a 25Q21BT Eprom but it is not found on the list in minipro

I can see GD25VQ21B but when I try to read my chip, the ID does not match
                    0x C8 40 12

My App is version 6.85 and programmer 03.2.86

Is there a software update to program this eprom. The datasheet says it is 3.3V (if this is the right one)

A: The programmer is faulty or has a worn or broken zif socket.

The USB cable is frayed, connector pins worn or some other physical damage.

                    Cable Repair
                    by Patch2
I have a broken connector (believe it's a 6 pin mini-DIN) on a cable. The metal shroud and all but one of the pins are separated from the cable, and just stuck together for the photo. The other end is an unknown rectangular connector. The cable is for the foot pedals on an Italian made electronic piano, and the company is out of business. Looking for ideas on how to fix it. I have a soldering iron, but I'm not very skilled at soldering, so getting a retrofit for the broken end may be beyond my ability. The other end would be easier to replace, if I could get a mini-DIN cable with the same number...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
                    by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                    Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                    First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...
