    TV only works in freezer!

This vizio-logo-keep-stay-on TV only works in freezer. cover it with snow then works. I found out is EEPROM problem( test with Dust-Off), the PCB for this TV is $28.94, I have ordered but I love to read the information in the EEPROM then write it to the good one. For fun!

PS: TV is 500i-A1 756TXDCB02K055 Main Board (for LTYWNTBP), EEPROM is MICRON 29F16G08CBACA

      Customer said that.

I will try put it on the NAND EEPROM writer, and some ice in the bag on top of it try to read the Data. it is 16G NAND EEPROM, I don't know how long it will take? Never try Never know!

        Nand flash programmer

        My is TNM2000 but only TNM5000 ($390) support 29F16G08

        My is TL866A but only TL86-PLUS ( $149)support 29F16G08

        and parts they want:

I can't resist; tell them to bring temperature off house way low and they will be fine.

Tiny hole in the back of the TV and A can of DustOff will lasts for years ( once turns on,it keeps on)or a ghungroo pouch glue to the EEPROM can put ice cube will works, but it needs to change warm up water constantly.

PS: Sent this TV to Alaska, watch TV in the igloo will be perfectly.

The eeprom is the sop8 with the white dot on it. U407 ?
The MICRON 29F16G08CBACA is NAND Flash memory.

U407 is 24C64 64k is too small for OS, DustOff on the U402 the TV works right away. Thank you.

                  93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM

I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

Pioneer DEX-P99rs "No EEProm " diagnostic code.
                  by dmccul2698
Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me

1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
2). Check the functionality of the EEProm

I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.

I have little to no electronic experience...

Dell ATX PSU won’t start, but forcing it works fine?
                  by CapLeaker
Got a case of something new weird at work. There is an old 2nd gen Intel i3 in an old “Pizza box” shell that has a small form factor power supply. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures and model number off it.

Anyway, I get to work and get to look at this computer. Standby LED on the PSU is on, but the computer won't start. Hmm o.k. take the battery out of the main board try again, nothing. O.k. then… unplug the power supply from the main board and put in a full size ATX PSU (yeeeesss! Exact that blown Powerman IP that I fixed a while back), plug it in and the old...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                  by rounin
                  Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                  🛠 Original Issue
                  The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

Kenwood SW-505D no sound issue and pops from time to time when it works
                  by ex250
                  Hello mates,

I bought this subwoofer a few days ago used and blind and it works erratically, as far as I could see, it has been tampered with, the speaker is not the original one and of 8 Ohm when it should be of 4, and there are some welds like reworked by the boards.

It doesn't have much power (expected more from it) and it distorts if you increase the volume over the middle, maybe it's because of the high impedance of the speaker. The problem is that it has sound when it wants, the led panels all work correctly, you can hear the power relay on power on, but right now...
