I'm guessing the airpump was broken. This is a way to get air through the nozzle.

Most powerful 120 psi desoldering gun in the world. I called it "air blast desoldering gun".
For solder splashes it needs operate in sandblasting box.

It was designed to deal with hard-to-take-out hybrid IC IPMs and Tuners! when A solder point is melting, push the AirBrush button, 120 psi compressed air blasts out, left beautiful and clean solder joints after that a lots solder splashes need to be clean out. All you need is one hand to operate the 852d+ air-blast- desoldering Hot-Air-gun which most Badcaps Veterans have one. Hope, this will help someone in the future.

PS: air compressor is much more powerful than A vacuum pump.......

Dyson DC45 trigger board burnt brush motor driving SO8 IC
            by martonmiklos
            Hi fellows,

I am trying to repair a Dyson DC45 battery powered hoover.

There is a trigger board in it which hosts an Attiny48 and some power stage to drive the brush motor.

Unfortunately a SO8 component burned to hell in it together with a 0603 resistor and the IC could not be identified.

The Attiny output looks to be survived the problem because when pulling the trigger it outputs high for a while and then turns off.
It is likely that it measured the current on the R10 shunt and this is why it is shut down.

            I have attached...

852D+ Hot Air Station - Temperature doesn’t increase
            by ohmmy
The dial lets me change the temperature setting but it always stays at 006. I’ve tried replacing the heater element (even though original tested fine) and no difference. Air flow still works fine. Any ideas?

Replace 25V cap with a 16V in a portable speaker?
            by Paxman_Swede
            Hi!

I posted a thread about identifying caps of my Zoom 9000 guitar effect where I mentioned a JBL speaker I'm trying to help my friend with. I haven't gotten any answers to that thread but I have a question regarding the cap in the speaker, so I thought I'd ask it separately.

The cap is marked 100uf 25V. I have found a set of caps on Amazon that I think will cover the caps of the guitar effekt but it doesn't have any 100uf 25V. It does have a 100uf 16V though. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on this forum that 25V can sometimes be replaced with 16V...but I can't find...

Identifying caps on an old Zoom 9000
            by Paxman_Swede
            Hello!

I have two projects on my work bench. One is a friends dead JBL Xtreme speaker with a blown voltage regulator and corresponding bulged and shorted cap. That cap has clear markings so I know what replacement I need for it.

The other project however is a whole different deal. It's a Zoom 9000 guitar effect from the 90th that has developed a devil hound howl when there is no input from the guitar. I'm guessing caps problem. So, since I don't really use this effect anymore I thought it would be a perfect project to learn on.

I have studied the board and...

            Genelec 8020C Bad capacitor
            by TomGJ
Hi All, So I have two Genelec 8020Cs that are about 10 years old, one of them stopped switching on. I took it apart, fuse was blown, and I've traced the short to one of the two large capacitors on the circuit board.

Now from looking at the Capacitors, they seem to be from Samwha's SD Series with the following specs: 3300uf, 35v, 85C, 25 x 16 mm Radial.

The problem is, I can't find any capacitor from Samwha's SD Datasheet that matches these specs. The closest is 3300uf, 35v, 85c but 31.5 x 16mm, with a max ripple current of 2.5A. I'm guessing the 25mm is custom made for...
