help with LED modules on Disco Equipment.

hi guys i have an 2 equinox domin8r lights and one was faulty.

now my problem is all lights went dead in one so i opened and was told by a technician that they work same as christmas lights that they work as a chain and if one dies it wont send voltage to rest.

i opened the faulty one and took out first LED module and tested in the working one and it worked fine. i then put my "working one" back the same way it was and its only lighting first module and the red leds on the others are working but very very dull...

is there any way i can test these if anyone has any knowledge on how to get this working again.

The left-most LED module IC looks cracked/blown?

I'm guessing the LED modules are serial-in serial-out, which means each module is identical, where they are in the daisy-chain determines their address/position. I don't know the IC numbers to confirm this.
You could swap out one at a time into the working unit to test them. Risk is you don't want to swap a shorted LED module into your good controller and wreck it.

But first, basic trouble-shooting technique would be to check the fuses, power supply voltages. The LED module PCB has some writing on the connectors. Probably +12V and +5V powered?

I notice the two power transistors on heatsinks have no insulators- their tabs look grounded out, but they might be voltage regulator IC's like 7805, 7812.
