MSI A520M Pro mainboard - need boardview and/or hires photo's of components surrounding RT8894 PWM controller
    by re-atari
    Hi all,

Recently I was donated a defective MSI A520M Pro rev. 1.0 mainboard, that I am now trying to get back on its feet again. The error description when I received it, was that it wouild not boot, with the CPU error led lighting up.

When inspecting the board with a magnifying glass, I noticed someone had slipped with a screwdriver when installing the CPU cooler. Not just once, but 2 times at that. Go figure. In the end the result was 2 scratches with damaged copper traces and a few knocked off (and missing) components around the RT8894 PWM controller. No wonder the...

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
    by Mirenia
    Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...

MASTER TL240 and new mainboard LW36BKC01
    by orcic
    Hello,
I have an old MASTER TL-240 LED TV. Since it stopped working and it had a DVB-T receiver that is being dismissed in Italy, I've decided to replace the mainboard with a DVB-T2 one.
The original problem was that when switching on the TV, the power LED was transitioning from red to steady blue, without showing video or audio.
After checking some voltages on the power supply board (HKL-240101-B Rev. 1.4, HKL from now on) someone suggested me to replace the mainboard.
Now I have some doubts about how to connect the new mainboard to the old power supply.
    First of...

Lenovo G700 mainboard - unidentified short on the NB
    by kotel studios
    Hi,

recently I went ahead and tried to tackle a repair I was putting off due to no experience and proper tools. It's a Lenovo G700 mainboard from a totaled chassis (previous owner banged it with a hammer, luckily the mainboard was mostly unscathed).

I had to remove the two CPU VRM caps since they were damaged. Otherwise there wasn't any more visible damage apart from the NB having a small chip on the edge closest to the biggest dot).

Powered it on and there was a barely noticeable squealing sound coming from the board (exact arena is unknown, but I think...

Need Public Firmware: TPV/Philips 86-inch Commercial Display (Mainboard 715GD081-M0F) - Stuck in Corporate Mode
    by jrbrassow
    Hello all,

I am attempting to convert an 86-inch commercial display, manufactured by TPV, back into a standard, fully functional TV/monitor. The display is currently running corporate/embedded firmware that prevents standard operation.

The primary goal is to find the original or a compatible "public" (non-corporate) firmware file to flash the mainboard and restore normal HDMI input functionality. 1. Display Identification & Hardware Details
    • Suspected Origin: TPV / Philips Professional Q-Line or P-Line series.
    • Panel HWID (from Windows): MONITOR\MGF86
