    [HELP] SAMSUNG NP270E4E-K01AR

    1) Error trying to enter the BIOS
--> [F2] won't let me enter the BIOS. To enter the BIOS, I had to create a shortcut and then type C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /r /fw /t 1 in the destination. This forced it to restart and enter the BIOS.
Once inside, I went to the BOOT menu, but, surprise, it wasn't there. I got the following message:

    BOOT PRIORITY ORDER (img-05)
    1- Windows Boot Manager
    2- SATA HDD
    3- NETWORK
    4- Debian

    2) Error trying to access the BOOT MENU
--> I restarted the notebook and pressed [F10] but the BOOT MENU didn't appear.

P.S.: Below are images of how my BIOS is set up.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
The steps I tried, but without success.

    1) I started Windows, Settings, Update & Security, Recovery, restarted, then went to Advanced Options, EFI. I disabled it, restarted the PC.
BUT NO THING, IT STILL WON'T ENTER THE BIOS NOR SHOW THE BOOT MENU.

    2) I started Windows, Settings, Update & Security, Recovery, restarted, then went to Command Prompt, restarted the PC.
BUT NO THING, IT STILL WON'T ENTER THE BIOS NOR SHOW THE BOOT MENU.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
Then I removed the hard drive and tried to repeat everything from the Windows 8.1 CD, then restarted the PC.
BUT NO THING, IT STILL WON'T ENTER THE BIOS NOR SHOW THE BOOT MENU.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
But it returned the following error: (img-06)

    1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. Choose your language settings, and then click "next".
    3. Click "repair your computer"

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

    File: \efi\microsoft\boot\bcd
    Status: 0xc000014c
Info: The boot configuration data for your PC is missing or contains errors.

That's why I think the problem is in the BIOS.

I need help, guidance on possible solutions, or if this has happened to anyone else.

Also, I tried using Samsung Update, but the BIOS doesn't open.

    Thank you very much.

Try to boot a live Linux distribution and use efibootmgr to delete all boot entries.

Operating system not found, cannot enter bios or boot to usb
      by gagarasta
Hello everyone, I had issues on my laptop acer 4752G

I'm using windows 10 until I decided to install windows 7 because of old hardware limitation, then I just found I cannot access my bios anymore. So far I already try these:

      1. On system information its uefi not bios/legacy
      2. Advanced restart but there's no uefi setting
      3. Try to reinstall my pc using fdd but cannot enter boot selection
      4. Press f2 f8 f10 only beep but straight into boot
      5. Try reflash bios using fdd fn key+esc+power not success
      6. Take the cmos battery off and...

Asus ROG Ally X -RC72LA - changed hidden bios settings with 'Smokeless-UMAF', won't get past boot logo

ASUS ROG Ally X - (Handheld Gaming PC)
      Model No: RC72LA
      Serial No: SBNVKD001014459

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.

2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.

The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but...

Lenovo LOQ mdl 151RH8 bios Q: Can't get usb boot to list
      by Max029
I've searched and read Beginners guidelines and other sticky threads. This is just a simple bios question. If I may, I'm having trouble finding any help, including from lenovo tech support & forum, for how to get usb boot to list in boot options. I'm trying to run memtest86 so nothing as highfaluting as re-install, flash a bios, etc.

I've made usb boot enabled and secure boot is disabled. I can find no other option in bios ver LZCN34WW (the original bios). Would anyone here be familiar with LOQ or Legion bios versions & know what is going on?
