Hi, I'm trying to fix my buddies rechargeable led work light made by olight and the model is odiance. For some reason now after a couple years of no issue, when powered off now, the led is faintly lit on 3 of the orange rows but as you can see from the first pic that's not where the leds are. The part that is faintly lit is beside the leds? Anyone know how that is possible? Is there small voltage still coming in somehow? The third pic is with the cover off.

Sorry I’m mistaken, there are led’s where the orange lines are. There’s a knob that lets you adjust the light to a white/orange color as it turns on both the white and dim orange leds. But yeah I don’t know why when powered off the orange ones are still lit on 3 of the rows.Comment

I did reflow the resister solder joints but issue is still there.Comment

I know can't see the tracks with the black. It's weird cause how come only 3 of the rows of leds are dimly lit when off and not the rest.Comment

I can't see how the intensity of the LEDs is controlled. Perhaps I've identified the wrong converters?Last edited by truclacicr; 10-15-2024, 01:56 PM.Comment

PAN3030P would be the MOSFETs in the battery charger circuit.
http://www.jg-semi.cn/uploads/admin/...6/PAN3030P.pdf
Are there any components on the underside of the PCB or anywhere else? I would think that there must be a MOSFET switch, or physical switch, between the battery's positive terminal and the Vin pins of each of the MP3429 boost converters, otherwise the battery would drain through the LED strings.
Perhaps the two MOSFETs at the USB ports are configured as ideal diodes to prevent the battery from back-feeding into the ports? In fact they appear in the simplified application schematic on page 2 of the datasheet.Last edited by truclacicr; 10-15-2024, 09:59 PM.Comment

Si24R1 is a wireless transceiver.

Those two SOT23-5 ICs look promising, but I haven't been able to identify them. Is the marking "|128" or "|12B"?
Edit:
Nope, "12B" is an op amp.

I would start by measuring the voltage between the battery terminals. Then measure the voltage between the LEDW+ and LEDW- terminals, and between the LEDC+ and LEDC- terminals. Do this when the light is on and off.Comment

Lights off ledw- and ledw+ 7.78v
Lights on ledc- and ledc+ 10.3v at lowest brightness and max brightness 11.37v
Lights on ledw- and ledw+ 7.83v at lowest brightness and max brightness 7.6v

Doesn't this mean that the white and yellow LED strings are always on and that the 7.2V (?) battery is being continually drained?
Doesn't this also mean that the light has been configured for yellow light mode? Do you get different readings in white light mode?
If 11V is the supply voltage for each LED string at max brightness, how many LEDs are in each string?Comment

a buck/boost converter will pass current even if it doesnt run, so you need to actually cut the feed to one and not just use the enable pin.
i think thats what is happening - one of the boost convertors is passing the battery voltage to the leds when the controller is disabled.

by mosfetratusWhen i fully shut off mac, orange light goes off and wont react to power button. I have difficult time resetting with combination "shift+control+option and power button", because it rarely works (reason unknown), when i manage to get orange light and then press power button macbook wont turn on and orange light goes off. When i hold combination with power button it turns on, and works fine if put it to sleep mode.
Works with battery and charges, but when i shut off i get this problem.
It had liquid spill. Board has no corrosion, keyboard is working, power button... -
by jheunnei have macbook a1466 board id 820-00165 with power fan spin green to orange light not booting no image or light i tried to fix its leak chip number U1930 but sad it has been damage due of corrosion here i attach the image of board. possible there is a jumper ways for it can't find parts for it to buy.
in first image there is 0v out for lcd

in 2nd image U1930 chip is damage is there any jumper solution or parts can be compatible for it

Hello again,
got an MacBook Pro from 2015, model A1502 and motherboard version 820-3476-A.
Device died over night on charger.
Currently I did the follow things:
1. Checked visuell the board, test with another MagSafe-Charger and with another DC-IN-board too
2. Measured 16,5V on PP18V5_DCIN_FUSE but 0V on ADAPTER_SENSE and 0V on PP_3V42_G3H and 0V on PPBUS_G3H but 16,5V goes to U7090
3. Because of corrosion and bad resistor values I changed these components: U7090 / C7094 / C7095 / R7095 / R7096 / L7095 / C7099 -> But further... -

by cajoegHello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.
The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV... - Loading...
