    What cable to connect from Power Supply Regulator

    Hi everyone,
    I'm still newbie and want to start up the shop for motherboard repairing. Need help what cable to connect from psu variable or regulator to any motherboard that we repairing? Any cable names? Since i already order the power supply regulator. From that, i can check the current and voltage go inside motherboard.

    if you mean the connectors on atx psu's - i think they are molex mini-fit jr
    why would you connect a motherboard to a variable psu?
    they need exact voltages.

      If you want to just monitor the voltage and current then you have make your own system jig so you can do this and you can take an old computer switching power supply cables

      I am considering making one for my self to do something similar

        Thanks guys. I found it. It is universal adapter with 2 wire black and red to connect into power supply.

            Please note not all laptop computers are compatible with universal power supply systems tips and you will get no charging errors or it just will not charge

            HP and Dell and some other brands that have 3 pin barrel power supply cords have this issue

            Just make sure that the universal laptop computer charger covers the entire of laptop computers and make sure that the tips are what controls the different power supply requirements

              Thank you for the explanation sam. Sure, I will take note on that and make sure the tip of charger is compatible and have power to the mobo.
