    Re: building a simple taser.

After I had a big motor cycle wreck the Quacks used that zapper on me! The Cork Sucking thing Blows! They were using it on my face. That is about how it feels! If they set the controls right I bet you could arc weld with the sucker too. Then they send me home with a little portable unit that runs off a 9V battery. When this little sucker hits it feels like somebody is stubbing out a cigarette on you...Not a good feeling. Anyway they want me to electrocute myself for 20 min. every 2 hours, RIGHT! Took it back to the Doctor, and told him to play with it with on his own kids because I was done with it. So I go to another Quack, and he does a little nerve conduction test. He uses the same unit but sticks needle in you! Special Note: This sucks even more! He found a little damaged spot in the nerve. After a 30 minute operation, and a three month recovery time I'm good as new. I just don't dig that feeling of excess electrons so I'll pass on the "exotic shocks".....LOL

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

      simple DIY voltage monitor
      by harp
I am designing a simple circuit that can catch a narrow glitch in voltage fluctation, and presented in visual/audio way, with as little as posible common type components. The circuit is done on test board and work like I wish. I post schematics here and like to hear a voice of educated electrician, hopefully to insight of some flaw or better design. Thank you ...

Simple PIR sensor circuit to drive a small motor
      by Nevillet
      Hi All,

I'd like some help designing a simple circuit for driving a small DC motor.
The PIR module is a HC-SR501 which runs on 6V supply and outputs 2.4V when triggered. (Datasheet attached)

I'm not totally sure which motor I need yet but lets assume it'll be 12V and draw a maximum of 100mA.

Can somebody design me a simple circuit for me using something like a 2N3904?

I'm happy to include a relay if that makes sense.

      Many thanks.

correct way to connect bare speaker wires into spring clip terminals?
      by ChaosLegionnaire
i recently bought a logitech z607 surround system. however, its giving me grief. when i first connected it, it only had sound coming from the front right speaker. after a great deal of fiddling and reseating the speaker wires into the spring clip terminals, i finally had sound coming from all 5 satellite speakers.

however, the sound still gets cut off intermittently if i move the speakers, subwoofer or move/touch the speaker wires on the back of the subwoofer. so i wanna ask what is the right way to connect bare speaker wires into spring clip terminals?

      i googled...

9th Gen Dell Optiplex Micro PC motherboard repair: Short Circuit?
      by Geeker007
Hi All, I have a 9th Gen Dell Optiplex micro PC motherboard which doesn't power on. When I connect the motherboard with power adapter, it goes into safe mode and turns off. So from info I have gathered online, it looks like there is a short circuit on the motherboard. So can you guys help me with figuring out the issue?

I am new to electronics repair, so my queries could be naive but I am ready to learn.

So I have a multimeter and a solder with me. But I can try to get a variable voltage power supply with a thermal camera as well. From what I seen online, best way is...
