Hi.
I have a Mosfet in a power adaptor circuit and I want to know what is the Gate, Drain and Source.
I have a data sheet and it shows which is the gate (#1) and I assume 2 and 3 are Drain and Source.
But when I read it with a multimeter I read that it's likely not that.
It seems to show that wire 3 is the gate and the other two are drain and source.
I want to know because I want to design tests on the mosfet to see if it is broken.
However, the gate of U1 (the pulse width modulator) is connected to wire 1 indicating it IS the gate of the mosfet.
Should I assume that I have the wrong data sheet, that not all manufacturers stick to the data sheet wiring, or something else.?
