    Sot-89 identification

    Hi all,
been trying to locate the details of the following component but with no joy, so does anyone have any idea what this is?

The markings are M 015 Y and it is on the main board of a Roland AX synth

    Thanks in advance

      Nice one.

The numbers are just to confuse us?

By identifying the part you have helped confirm that although the transistor might be ok, the readings around it are off.
I now have a clear area to check out out.

        So seriously... Thanks!

Dead Roland AX synth - Capacitor problem?
          by Crystaleyes
Got a question regarding how best to identify what the problem is on the main pcb of this Roland synth.

Symptoms are, that it turns only for a second... All the lights and display flash, then it turns off.

I had thought it could be a shorted cap so removed the main pcb and tested all the caps for a short to ground using a resistence tester, however none were.

Next I pulled out the Chinese T7 component tester and found 7 caps which are connected in parallel, all reading 36pF (when these caps are rated between 470 and 10uF). None of the other caps on the...

Roland SPA-120 Amplifier Tech Notes / SM / Schematic Source?
          by KeyResults
Repairing a Roland SPA-120 amplifier, a solid-state early-mid 80's part of the Roland Rack. The PCB is Labled AP-124B. Was thinking lytics would resolve the nasty output on scope but all tested 100% for values, ESR, and leakage (very surprised!). Symptom is nasty wave form on both channels in Stereo mode, but clean in single channel mono (BTL) mode. The Output transistors test ok at room temp, but still could be faulty once heated up. Anyway, a schematic and some test point voltages would sure save some time. Thx!

          Acer predator XB241YU Component identification
          by Shulgin
          Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Acer predator XB241YU screen. When I plug it in, the startup LED turns on instantly, and I can't turn off the screen without unplugging it.
After disassembly and inspection of the electronic cards I found what looks like a broken inductor, it is marked with the letter A and is at location L58.
In the first photo you can see the broken component, in the second photo you can see where it is on the board, in the third photo you can see the silkscreen and in the fourth photo you can see the identification sticker of the main board
          I...
