I have to fix an MSI Modern 15 A11SB that works fine except the battery is discharging fast with the laptop off. So I removed the battery and power just the laptop from the bench powersupply and it has an consumption of40ma. I found the 5V coil stais on after the laptop goes off. Also if i touch or probe the resistor ot pin 5 of the chip the 5V stuts down and no more consumption, until you turn it on and off angain. Its like this pins are floating or something.
dont think is the chip, because cheching pin 6 and 20 the EN for 3.3v and 5v they still have 3.3v after laptop is off so, the EC is keeping this chip enabled. I updated the bios and ec with the latest version from MSI ando the firmware for ME. im attaching an image of the chip and pont the resistors that if I touch with my hand or probe with the multimeter, then its normalising.
Any help or sudgestion, schematic or boardview will be apreciated.
