    Viewsonic VX2235wm

    Hello all!
    I have a Viewsonic VX2235wm 22" monitor. A few monthes back (6 or 8) it started
to blackout for 5 to 10 seconds, then come back. Well, about a month ago it blacked
out and did not come back.
When the monitor is on I can faintly see the image in it, like the backlight is
shot. There are 2 backlights in this monitor, right? They both would not go
    at once, would they?
I put it up in hopes that I would get time to try to work
on it later. Long story short, I found this site and read all the posts about this
    type monitor.
I pulled the monitor apart and looked to me like a couple of the caps were bad. Hoping
that was the problem, I ordering replacement caps and put them in.
    Still same problem
    Any suggestions?

Here are pics of the board, top and bottom. These pics are from before replacing
    8 of the caps.

The caps in this pics with red "X" are the ones I replaced:

Read this post on inserting pictures.

You have a strange problem. Check the voltage to the inverter, and check for shorted drivers in the inverter.
