Working on a Vizio E480i-B2 that won't turn on, no lights, nothing. I took the back cover off and found a broken component on the power supply board.
(I did create a new thread, to help others with this exact TV & issue)
The board is a Delta DPS-167DP 056.04146.000 and IC901 on the board has a large chunk of it missing. I believe IC901 = part #LD7913JGM6. I read the other two threads on here that had information about this issue to try and begin looking for other possible bad components.
It seems I have three options:
1. Buy a replacement board for $45+/-. I have not found any 056.04146.000 boards for sale, but I have found 056.04146.001's for sale. The two look identical, is there any reason I couldn't use the 001?
2. Send the board in to be repaired $52+/-.
3. Repair the board myself $12+/- plus whatever other parts someone could help me locate.
So far I have tested R915 and it read 4.7 Ohms, R907A & B read 00.5 Ohms. D950b read 00.5 Ohms & .000 and beeped on Diode test setting when tested in either direction.
I would like to know where else to look and what else to test.
