    Technics su-z960 burnt fuse

    I have this amplifier in the workshop that burns the fuse when I turn it on. What is the procedure to follow since something is short?.Thanks

    check the diodes / bridge rectifiers for shorts.

          Queer enough, I just encountered the same problem. I was quite astonished to find the problem in a shorted foil condenser (C702 in the schematic). There are alternative values, mine was a 220nF, 100V type - not enough for the AC peak value of 120V across the condenser. Another source of failure might be the hybrid power amp (IC501, SVI3105B).
