working on the neighbors laptop with this following issue. the screen turns on but only the bottom 1/3 is showing any desktop. the top part is lit up with no display. iv'e taken the display apart as far as this point before going any further. reseated the cable to lcd led panel and no change. works fine to external display.
now.....do you think it is a faulty panel, faulty cable or do i need to take apart further and reseat cable to motherboard. Thanks.
