      Re: ASUS VE247 Help

Well I finally got the IC in, replaced the old one and everything is working so far. I've been using it for an hour or 2 and so far it is working great, thank you budm for your help. Hopefully that IC was the cause of the original problem too.

          Re: ASUS VE247 Help

Well it worked fine for a month and now I'm having problems again. I was using it yesterday and lines started to appear and it froze up, and then it kept working for a few seconds and then it went to a white screen and stopped. I'm not sure what the problem could be. Could anyone help me figure this out? It seems like maybe the logic board isn't getting enough power and its shutting off. Today I hooked it up again and now its been working fine. If it happens again ill try to get some pictures of what it is doing.

            Re: ASUS VE247 Help

I dont think you were asked originally but what caps did you get when you fixed it. If you have read some of the monitor threads we invariable suggest
panasonic Fr FM or FC or nichicon or rubycon equivalents from a good seller
digikey mouser farnell. Caps from radioshack will not do and there are many
            fake caps on ebay.
Perhaps when it fails carry out some of the tests already done and post the results save going through it all again.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

              Re: ASUS VE247 Help

Well I decided to try to fix this monitor again so I can use it soon. I got it out and tested cap c606 and got 14.7vdc. I also tested all the wires going to the logic board and got 5.02vdc on the red wires, 5.01vdc on the orange wires, 3.29vdc on the green wire, and 3.21 on the white wire. Could it be a problem with the logic board now? Here are some pictures of what it does, and I have a video I can upload too if anyone wants me too.
