Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello everyone! I have enjoyed reading through the great information on this forum and have already found answers to many tv problems so far. I don't have much knowledge on electronics yet...just enough to make me think I can fix things that turn out to be over my head

Hello. I go by my middle name, Aaron. I'm a bit of a computer geek but haven't gotten into fixing boards. I bought soldering stuff but haven't tried it out. I have a Powerbook 540C that needs to be recapped. It still runs but the screen has noise. I also have a Fairchild VES that needs to be fixed. It runs but the video signal is very weak and only appears if you press on a cable. As you can tell I like vintage tech.

The main reason I'm here right now is to get help with a Panasonic plasma television that seems designed to annoy people into giving up on repairs.

              Hi all,

As my user name suggests, I found this forum after my 5 year old Panasonic Plasma greeted me with the seven blinks of death.
I am a diy guy and try to fix whatever breaks myself before either replacing or handing over to the specialists. I find forums like this are invaluable in getting the knowledge to attempt fixing things in a low cost way.

I live in a small town in Ontario Canada and enjoy mountain biking and golf in the summer and snowshoeing and skiing in the winter. Gotta stay busy.

Hello, new user here. I don't have MUCH experience with working with electronics components on PCB's, but I have tinkered a little bit. Hoping to get some help with repairing a monitor.

Howdy! Thanks for making me welcome here.
Busy with many things now. One of them is a 7 yr old Sony Bravia 32" KDL-32BX300 that popped a few weeks ago and already bought a replacement. Thought I'd see if it's worth the time and parts. Google brought me here to old post of a another member having similar experience but the thread dead ended without final outcome. Maybe if I search this forum I'll get more help.
I also hope to help others if I'm able with my experiences or knowledge or skills.

What brought me to this site was my Panasonic P65S2 crapped out with the 7 blinks of death. I'm still trying to read through all the threads relating to this subject. Hopefully after I fix it, I will information share as far as what I did to resolve the problem.
BTW great resource . And thanks in advance for all the information.
