Help required identifying an SMD Buck Converter

    Hi guys
I'm a bit stuck on this one. I'm looking for a replacement part. It's a SMD Buck Converter part code BX6L in SOT23-6 package

    Pic attached.

Google is not helping me or I'm searching for the wrong thing

    Cheers
    Richard

      Hi R J
Yes it's for an android TV Box model 'SM Box'

I wouldn't normally bother trying to repair something like this but it has a subscription on it and it's not easy to move the subs to another box

The buck converter that failed is actually from the empty position to the right of the one in the pic, I already removed it. It has a low resistance 37 ohms from input to ground.

You may be able to see I also removed0, tested, and resoldered four of the ceramic caps while tracing the short - I think I did a better job than some of the original soldering!

      best regards
      Rich

Just to confirm (as it may help others here) I ordered some SY8009 from china, very very cheap for 10 of them..... they took a while to get to Gran Canaria - but that was the correct replacement

Big thanks to R_J the STB is working again
