Samsung UN40J5200AFXZA Color Issues

Picked up this TV at the curb. Everything seems to work flawlessly except a sleight color issue. i was hoping to be able to repair it and replace my current one.

Its hard to see in the pictures.

Note the sleight green hue around the flame on the top right of the 2nd picture.

I had an identical issue actually worse than yours on a Samsung UE48J5200AK model.
After purchasing a cheap tcon board for it it didn't resolve issue. So replaced main board and resolved issue. Then found two flash ics on the boards. I cloned the new board flash ics and programmed them onto the old board. The old main board was then repaired and now listed back on ebay.
So in conclusion you have firmware corruption on the eeprom ic 24c256 and flash ic 25q40.

I dont have the ability to flash an eeproom atm. But it looks like the Mainboard for this tv isnt very pricy so ill start with replacing that and hope that fixes it. Thanks for the info!

Ya know, Honestly I didnt even really think about that. I will give that a try when i get off work tonight. Is that something i can do through te tv? or do i need to use my PC and Update via USB?

Still doing the same after running the Firmware update. So im assuming im gonna have to replace the MoBo?

I have the same model tv with a similar problem and have tried a few main boards which all display the same. On my tv the tcon is integrated with the panel. I believe the problem is on the tcon. The UE48J5200AK mentioned above has a separate tcon so his experience may be different than ours.

Those are for models without integrated tcons of course.

Think so, thinking those I listed are probably for older tvs.
