means data corruption either drive,motherboard or cable, try a new cable first and if the fault happens again do a drive test and if that repeats same then run the manufacturers hdd tool to test the drive.

When i first built this Asus it had 1 stick of bad ram , but it didnt show up till a day or two later..Think i may need to reinstall windows in case the ram caused corruption also ?
