    Ecs mcp61pm - gm

Have some blown caps on the motherboard.
Is the capacitor repair kit for the MCP61PM-HM capatible with the MCP61PM-GM? Thanks

Not quite. The GM has a few extra caps on the CPU VRM area than the HM. I also can't tell whether the CPU VRM caps on the GM are 1500uF or 1800uF. They are 1800uF on the HM.

If the GM has 1800uF caps, though, you could order the HM kit, plus the few extras.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

so i was wondering about the caps on this board myself. a couple months back i had removed them to replace them and never got around to buy them. i know don't have the old caps and can not for the life of me figure out if this board uses 1800uf or 1500uf.

They would be 1800uF in all likelihood
