yes with the CH341A programmer you can only write the 8 MB bios ... but first make a backup copy of the original laptop bios ..

You can use the ch341a, but its slow, and tricky too as you have to solder individual wires to the keyboard connector pins.

                          Use NeoProgrammer software - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...50&postcount=5

                          Flash Ene kb9012 Sio Using Ch341A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQGH6yZuXCc

Recommended to modify the ch341a voltage first if you have the black pcb version
                          CH341A volt mod https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwnzzF645hA
                          CH341A volt mod https://www.chucknemeth.com/usb-devi.../3v-ch341a-mod

You can also buy pre-programmed chips from ebay and aliexpress.

If you want to buy an IO programmer there`s other models besides the one that @peste posted theres SVOD3, Vertyanov JIG, RT809F (with peb1 adapter board, but limited to only kb90xx) ,RT809H with adapter board.

                          .

you don't have to buy a chip..program the one on the motherboard..are you sure that the EC bios is corrupt ??

Need help. Tried to downgrade my BIOS and it got corrupted.

I have tried to flash bios with
                                the attachment above "Acer Aspire E5-571G- Z5WAH LA-B162P REV1.0.rar (3.72 MB, 3035 views)"
                                still showing black screen.

                                Thanks !
